A novel hierarchical nonlinear proportional-integral fast terminal sliding mode control for PMSM drives

This study proposes a novel hierarchical nonlinear proportional-integral fast terminal sliding mode (HNLPIFTSM) control for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed regulation system. A new type of surface called HNLPIFTSM surface, which combines the benefits (PI) and (FTSM) is proposed to enhance robustness improved dynamic response, whilst preserving great property conventional (HFTSM) strategy. The uses PI as its inner loop FTSM outer loop. Meanwhile, an extended state observer (ESO) used estimate uncertain terms PMSM Furthermore, stability closed-loop system under ESO strategy proved by Lyapunov theorem. Finally, simulations experimental demonstrations verify effectiveness superiorities our over HFTSM
